General Information
-
The Health Currents system is updated quarterly. But, not all information is updated quarterly. Most data available through the system is released annually. The Updates Information page has a schedule for expected data releases.
-
Our data comes from many sources. A list of sources is available in our Sources document.
-
While we make great efforts to supply as much data as we can through Health Currents some detailed data is best provided by other pages at CHS. Try the Sources document for more data. You can make a special request by emailing the General Request Email.
-
Information about our next series of updates is available on the Updates page.
-
Send a special request to the General Request Email. There are more than 65,000 pieces of data in the system, so if you are interested in only one table or piece of Health Currents please tell us. We can create a smaller and more manageable file suited to your needs.

The system will try to assist you in creating comparable geographical areas only after the first selection screen. You cannot remove the two extra geographies, but you can change them by clicking [change selection].
-
The Sources document contains information on citing the individual data sources.
-
The system currently only compares three areas. If you wish to compare more than three you can write or print out data and manually compare the data.
