A psychologist may hold more than one type of license, and therefore may be included in more than one of the specific license type tables. The Unduplicated Count tables below contain the total number of licensees for that year; however, duplicate records (for example a person who is included in the Licensed Psychologist table and the Licensed Specialist in School Psychology table) have been removed, so each licensee is counted only once. The Unduplicated Count table best represents the total number of psychologists actively practicing in Texas, without regard for license type. Please direct "scope of practice" inquiries to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
