Includes: all active Direct Patient Care Physicians with a Texas mailing address. The county was determined based on the zip code. The term, "active physician," included all physicians with a practice type as direct patient care, intern, or resident. The term, "inactive physician," included those physicians who classified their practice type as teaching, administration, research, military, retired, or not in practice (4,357).
