Data Source: Texas Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners, November, 1981. And, "Texas Health Manpower Reports: Health Professionals in Texas by Activity Status, 1980-1981," Bureau of State Health Planning and Resource Development, Texas Department of Health.
Includes: all active Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) practicing in Texas. The practice address was used to determine the county. If the practice address was unavailable, the mailing address was used to determine the county. The term, "Active LVN," included those working full-time or part-time in nursing and excluded LVNs with an "inactive" or "status unknown" activity code (18,776). The term, "Inactive LVN," included LVNs who were either working in another field or were unemployed or retired.
