Q. For agencies that use an EMR does the standardized screening (such as Ages & Stages) have to be in the official paper format or can the same information be transcribed to the health record and filled out by the provider on the EMR? Some agencies are trying to go totally paperless with their records. (12/2009)?
A. After much research and consultation, the agency will need to contact A&S publisher and ask special permission to ensure it is allowable to enter the information in the EMR.
