Title: Community Health Worker Certification Program – via distance learning
All six courses leading to state certification are available online.  Each course is eight weeks long (Flex Semester) and courses are offered all year long.  No prerequisites are required and there is no set sequence of classes so the student can join at the beginning of each new semester.

Visit the Northwest Vista College homepage (
www.alamo.edu/nvc) and under the tab "Admissions", select the "How to Apply" tab.  The web page will guide enrollees through the entire process of admissions/registration and course enrollment.  Students have the option to apply as a "Continuing Education" student (non-college credit) or as a “Credit” student to receive college credit for the courses. All community health worker courses have the prefix (CHLT) and the online courses are marked "Internet Class".
