ATTENTION: Medical Transportation Changes
How you set up a ride to and from your healthcare appointments will change soon in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. A new provider will set up rides for you. You will receive letters about the change.
In the Dallas/Fort Worth area, the new service begins on April 16. LogistiCare is the new provider. It will serve the following counties: Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Navarro, Parker, Rockwall, Tarrant and Wise. The LogistiCare toll-free phone number to set up a ride will be mailed to you.
ATTENTION: Medicaid Managed Care for CSHCN Services Program Clients
On March 1, 2012, the managed care model for Medicaid in Texas expanded statewide. Note: The changes only apply to you if you have Texas Medicaid coverage. Here is more important information:
- You need a medical plan. If you have questions, call 1-800-964-2777. You also can call that number if you need help finding a provider. You can learn more about the medical plans and services by going to a meeting in your area. To see a list of these meetings, go to the Community Outreach Meeting Calendar.
- Your prescription drug benefit may change. Your medical plan has network pharmacies where you can fill your prescriptions. Contact information for your medical plan is on Your Texas Benefits Medicaid card and the member ID card that your medical plan sent to you. If you have both Medicare and Medicaid, you will continue to get your prescription benefit through Medicare.
