Meeting called to order at 10:19 a.m., June 15, 2001. II. Introduction of Members, Guests, and Staff. Discussion and Possible action on proposed rule changes. The following proposed changes were made to 22 T.A.C. Chapter 810. The new language appears in italics. §810.3 Registry Criteria. Add as a new rule: Registered Sex Offender Treatment Providers with specialized competencies in the assessment and treatment of juvenile, female, and/or mentally handicapped sex offenders may have such competencies listed by their name in the Registry, if they meet the following criteria (such certification required only for initial publication); Possess at least 250 hours experience in the assessment and treatment of juvenile, female, or mentally handicapped sex offenders; Possess a minimum of 24 hours of documented continuing education training in the assessment and treatment of juvenile, female, or mentally handicapped sex offenders, which can be counted as part of the 40 hours of continuing education. There will be a fee for listing the specialized credentials in the initial certification of each specialty; An approved RSOTP supervisor must meet the following criteria: (i) 5 years experience as an RSOTP; (ii) Designated as a supervisor under the license; or (iii) Designated as a faculty member or adjunct faculty member in an accredited clinical training program of their discipline; (iv) To be designated an approved RSOTP supervisor, there is an initial credentialing fee that will be charged; (v) This rule does not apply to supervisors, which are in place prior to September 1, 2001. (2)(B)(i) add the word verified behind 250 hours; add the words who are professionally knowledgeable, and delete the word know; (3) (A) add approved supervisor §810.61. Introduction to Standards of Practice. (b) Changing is replaced with modifying, delete the word simple, replace formal therapy with sex offender specific treatment; (d) delete the date 1997; §810.62. Council Assertions. (a) (18) add or provide in writing; (b)(3) delete the complete sentence; (24) change Phallometric assessment to sexual arousal/preference assessments; (26) change Phallometric assessment to sexual arousal/preference assessments: §810.63. Assessment and Evaluation Concerns. (b) delete the date 1997; §810.153. Outpatient Treatment and Supervision Program. Delete the word medication (7) change to number (6): change antiandrogenic and/or the equivalent chemotherapy to medication, add Medication might include antipsychotics, antidepressants, antianxiety medications, antiobsessional medications and/or antiandrogenic and /or equivalent chemotherapy.
