Loading...

Requirements

Certified lead firms are required to deliver written notification of lead-based paint abatement to the Department of State Health Services in cases of child-occupied facilities and target housing (see definitions below).

The certified lead firm is responsible for completing the notification form and notifying both the Environmental Health Notifications Group and the appropriate DSHS Regional Office.

Notification shall be made no less than seven working days (not calendar days) prior to the commencement of the abatement activity (this does not necessarily include setting up for the abatement project).

Forms and Payment Methods

The Notification Form may be downloaded from the Applications and Forms page on this website.

The Texas Online Payment System is currently unavailable to make asbestos, mold, and lead notification payments. Payments may be made in the form of a check or money order and sent to the payment address provided on the notification invoice. This does not impact the payment of licensing fees.
