FDA Proposes New Food Safety Standards for Foodborne Illness Prevention and Produce Safety
The FDA today proposed two new food safety rules that help prevent foodborne illness. The proposed rules implement the landmark, bipartisan FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and are available for public comment for the next 120 days. The FDA encourages Americans to review and comment on these important proposed rules.

Amendment §229.182
The Executive Commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission, on behalf of the Department of State Health Services (department), proposes an amendment to §229.182 concerning the licensure of food manufacturers, food wholesalers, and warehouse operators.
