Hepatitis Web Study [Washington Department of Education]
This site provides interactive, case-based modules related to the clinical care of persons with viral hepatitis.

Infectious Disease Consultation HOTLINE [UT Tyler] Hotline available statewide (Texas) to all health care providers, both public and private, public and private health care agencies including: Texas Departments of Public Health (State, County, City), Hospitals and Clinics, Home Health Care Providers, other state supported sections or divisions having health-related components. Consults can be obtained for ANY infectious disease. The hotline is provided by the Center for Pulmonary and Infectious Disease Control (CPIDC) located on the campus of The University of Texas Health Center at Tyler (UTHCT).

National Institutes of Health (NIH), Division of Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (DAIDS) [NIH]
The Division's mission is to increase basic knowledge of the pathogenesis, natural history, and transmission of HIV disease and to support research that promotes progress in its detection, treatment, and prevention.

National HIV/AIDS Clinicians Consultation Center [UCSF]
An AIDS Education and Training Centers clinical resource for health care professionals from the University of California, San Francisco at San Francisco General Hospital.

Directory of Prescription Drug Patient Assistance Programs [PhRMA]
To make it easier for physicians to identify the growing number of programs available for needy patients, member companies of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) created this directory. It lists company programs that provide drugs to physicians whose patients could not otherwise afford them. The programs are listed alphabetically by company. Under the entry for each program is information about how to make a request for assistance, what prescription medicines are covered, and basic eligibility criteria.

"The HIV/AIDS Treatment Information Service (ATIS) is your central resource for federally-approved treatment guidelines for HIV and AIDS." Available guidelines include: Adult and Adolescent, Pediatric, Perinatal, Health-Care Worker Exposure, Nonoccupational Exposure, Opportunistic Infections, and Tuberculosis.

AIDS Education and Training Centers [AETC]
The AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC) National Resource Center (NRC) website has been designed to serve as a central resource for the education of providers of HIV/AIDS care nationwide. The "Pocket Guide to HIV/AIDS Treatment" is located at this site.

A Guide to the Clinical Care of Women with HIV [HRSA]
"The Ryan White CARE Act program of the Health Resources and Services Administration is pleased to make this Guide available to clinicians caring for women living with HIV/AIDS. We believe it is the first comprehensive clinical manual on this topic, and the need for such a guide has never been greater."

CDC National AIDS Hotline TTY Service [The Body]
The CDC National AIDS Hotline TTY Service is open Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Eastern Time. The TTY staff can answer questions about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The TTY staff is trained in English, Spanish and American Sign Language (ASL). All calls are free and private.

PRN - Physician Research Network [PRN]
Provides ongoing peer support to physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants providing care to people with, and at risk for, HIV disease. Like the patients we serve, we face many issues of clinical uncertainty. PRN is committed to improving the diagnosis, management and prevention of all aspects of HIV disease and its complications, and to enhancing the broad spectrum of skills utilized by our members.

Texas Center for Infectious Disease - TB Education Center (TBEC)
The Tuberculosis Education Center was created to provide Statewide Tuberculosis Consultant Services as well as establish a format, via conferences, teleconferences and seminars, to present educational programs to physicians, nurses, and other health allied professionals regarding tuberculosis and it's management.

National Hepatitis C Prison Coalition [National HCV in Prison Coalition]
The National Hepatitis C Prison Coalition was formed to raise awareness and provide support to prisoners who are hepatitis and HIV/HCV coinfected. The goal is to help educate prisoners and advocate for better testing, treatment and prevention of these diseases.

Adherence

AIDSMAP [NAM Publications]
Here you can find "The Wheel" which is a personal pill planner and can be a starting point if you are about to begin taking anti-HIV treatment. It looks at issues that might make it difficult for you to take your pills in the right way and at the right time. Health care providers may find this to be a helpful tool to discuss medication options with their patients. This site is produced by the National AIDS Manual (NAM Publications) in collaboration with the British HIV Association.

The National Network of STD/HIV Prevention Training Centers (PTCs) [NNPTC]
The clinician's and educator's resource for the latest information about STDs and HIV. The PTCs are dedicated to increasing the knowledge and skills of health professionals in the area of sexual and reproductive health. The National Network provides health professionals with a spectrum of state-of-the-art educational opportunities, including experiential learning with an emphasis on prevention.
