2004 - 2005 Texas Influenza Surveillance Information
Influenza activity in Texas for the week ending April 30, is No Activity. This does not mean there is no flu activity, just low levels. There is no culture confirmed influenza to report in the state.
The Sentinel Provider Surveillance Network indicates ILI activity for last week at below baseline levels. Providers are reminded that specimens may be submitted to the DSHS laboratory. Contact Irene Brown, SPSN coordinator at 512 458-7676 for details.
Flu activity reports will continue to be made through week 20 (ending 5/21). Please continue to report unusual activity of respiratory illness and consider the submission of specimens to the DSHS lab.
