2005 - 2006 Texas Influenza Surveillance Information
The flu activity level for the week ending November 26, 2005 is sporadic. Activity has remained steady or possibly even declined slightly from the previous week.
Limited influenza activity was reported in all Health Service Regions for week 47. Only three HSRs (7, 8, and 9/10) report an increased level of activity over the previous week. For a map of Health Service Regions, please visit the following website:

The DSHS lab received five respiratory specimens for influenza testing during week 47. To date, none have been positive.
Data from the Sentinel Provider Surveillance Network (SPSN) indicates only a slight increase in influenza-like illness (ILI) from the previous week (Week 46).
