This conference will highlight the importance of immunization. Dr. Andrew Kroger, from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, will be the guest speaker. Topics will include: TVFC updates, addressing parental vaccine concerns, disease reporting, ImmTrac, Texas Health Steps, influenza school-based clinics, rabies prevention, and others.

Topics will include childhood/adolescent immunizations, vaccination techniques, ImmTrac, surveillance of communicable diseases, zoonosis, and Texas HealthSteps. Guest speaker will be Ms. Donna Weaver, CDC Nurse Educator.

Partnering with PAHO. We will be educating and training the promotoras on the importance of the child immunization schedule, of having a clear understanding of Mexico's immunization schedule, to educate promotoras on vaccine-preventable diseases, and to educate promotoras on the importance of keeping children up to date on immunizations.

NIIW Proclamation/Free Immunization Clinic
The San Patricio County NIIW-VWA proclamation will be signed by the county judge with local newspaper media present. An article will be featured in local area newspapers to educate public on the importance of vaccines and to promote NIIW-VWA. The San Patricio County Department of Public Health will offer free vaccines during NIIW-VWA to TVFC-qualified children from birth through 18 years old.
