Holiday Instructions: Mailing Specimens to the DSHS Laboratory
The DSHS Laboratory will be closed December 23-26 and January 1, 2008; therefore, the Lab must receive specimen submissions by December 21, 2007, for total hemoglobin, lead, and RPR testing. This will facilitate turn-around time during the Christmas holidays. Please keep in mind the possibility of delays in mail service during the holidays.
- Specimens submitted for lead and total hemoglobin testing must be received within 10 days of collection.
- Specimens submitted for RPR testing must be received within 5 days of collection.
