 The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) is seeking interested individuals to help guide the behavioral health system and promote recovery in Texas. The purpose of the Texas Recovery Advisory Committee (TRAC) will be to stabilize the decision making process and develop resolutions for issues brought to the Texas Recovery Initiative (TRI) relating specifically to recovery as DSHS continues to support the Recovery Movement through funding and/or other resources. Recovery Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC) is a framework for coordinating multiple systems, services, and supports that are person-centered, self-directed and designed to readily adjust to meet the individual’s needs and chosen pathway to recovery. The system builds upon the strengths and resilience of individuals, families, and communities to take responsibility for their sustain health, wellness, recovery from substance use disorders and improved quality of life.
