Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Program Continuing Education, Find a CE Provider

Subject to department review, the department will accept continuing education credits from:

• Recognized State boards, including, but not limited to the:
  • Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners
  • Texas State Board of Professional Counselor Examiners
• National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors
• Texas Certification Board for Addiction Professionals
• An accredited college or university. College transcripts must contain the official seal of the college and the signature of the registrar. One hour of college credit is equivalent to 15 CE hours.

For counselors who live out of state, the department will also accept continuing education hours approved by other state and Federal agencies.
