"Marriage and Family Therapy" means the rendering of professional therapy services to individuals, families, and couples, singly or in groups, and involves the professional application of family systems theories and techniques in the delivery of therapy services to those persons. The term includes the evaluation and remediation of cognitive, affective, behavioral, or relational dysfunction within the context of marriage or family systems.
"Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists Associate" means an individual who offers to provide marriage and family therapy for compensation under the supervision of a board-approved supervisor.
