Submit a Best Practice
To submit a best practice developed by your agency or organization,
please follow the instructions on the best
practice submission form (MS Word - File viewing information
• Información de
visualización de archivos). Each application will be evaluated
according to the criteria
for best practices. DSHS staff will contact the applicant to
identify and collect appropriate data and documentation about the
practice, including implementation procedures and outcome data.
DSHS is working with the Texas Council of Community MHMR Centers and
the Local Authority Network Advisory Committee (LANAC), originating out
of House Bill 2439, in the development of this Clearinghouse. DSHS will
contact staff indicated on the form, collect submission information, and
write up a best practice summary for the LANAC or its designated
subcommittee for review and approval. If all criteria are met and the
LANAC approves the Best Practice, it will be added to the Clearinghouse.
Suggest a Best Practice
If you know of a practice that might be appropriate for the
Clearinghouse, please submit this information on our best
practice suggestion form (MS Word - File viewing information

criteria and reviewed in the same manner as submissions.
