The Milk Group is a part of the Texas Department of State Health Services, Division for Regulatory Services, Environmental and Consumer Safety Section.

Our mission is to ensure that Texas consumers have a safe and wholesome milk supply. The Milk Group accomplishes its mission through a team of professional sanitarians located in Austin and throughout the state working to ensure that appropriate statutes and regulations are applied uniformly to the milk industry.
