Education and Experience required for licensure
- A master's degree or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in physics, medical physics, biophysics, radiological physics, or medical health physics
- Completion of at least 2 years of full-time work experience in a specialty area
- Successful completion of an examination approved by the Board
- Three professional references: two medical physicists and on physician practicing in the specialty area.
An applicant may be issued a temporary license pending completion of the required work experience and/or the required examination.
