Aerial spraying hours for mosquito control in several counties affected by Hurricane Ike have been changed. Nightly spraying will begin at 7:30 p.m. and end at 7 a.m.
The spraying begins tonight in Brazoria and Galveston counties.
Other counties where spraying will be done over the next several days are Chambers, Fort Bend, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Matagorda, Montgomery, Newton and Orange.
The Texas Department of State Health Services earlier this week announced that spraying would begin at 10 p.m. and end at 6 a.m.
DSHS officials said the expanded timeframe will allow faster coverage of the multi-county target area.
