The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and several community health partners will begin assessing community health in Chambers County Jan. 12.
The Chambers County Community Health Needs Assessment will focus on education, prevention, care and treatment services for physical health, mental health and substance abuse.
Participants can complete an anonymous survey in English or Spanish online at www.dshs.state.tx.us/chambers between Jan. 12 and Jan. 30 or may attend one of four community forums.
Community forums will be held as follows:
- Jan. 14, Baytown, 10 – 11:30 a.m., Cedar Bayou Community Building, 7711 Highway 146.
- Jan. 15, Winnie, 10 – 11:30 a.m., Winnie Community Building, 335 S. Park St.
- Jan. 22, Anahuac, 10 – 11:30 a.m., American Legion Hall, 1704 S. Main.
- Jan. 28, Mt. Belvieu, 10 – 11:30 a.m., Mt. Belvieu Senior Center, 11607 Eagle Dr.
An assessment report should be available by March 27.
