The Immunization Program distributes and accounts for all state supplied vaccines administered by public and private providers. This program also evaluates schools and child care facilities for compliance with compulsory immunization laws and conducts surveys to assess immunization levels of pre-school children. A major emphasis is to stimulate and promote complete immunization of children by their second birthday.
The Immunization Program responds to requests from the general public and health professionals for immunization and infectious disease information and related data.
