Draft Rule Language for Public Comment

The Department of State Health Services is requesting feedback on the draft rule language that is available via the following link. The draft language will remove all language regarding the Respiratory Care Practitioners Advisory Committee.  By rule, this committee’s abolishment date was November 1, 2011, and the draft language will conform the rules to the actual operation of the program.  The draft language will also implement Senate Bill 162 and House Bill 2254 of the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, regarding the licensing of active military members, military spouses, and military veterans.  The Respiratory Care section is available starting on page 15.  Comments on the draft may be submitted via email to Crystal Beard, Program Director, at crystal.beard@dshs.state.tx.us.  When emailing comments, please indicate “Comments on Respiratory Care Draft Rules” in the subject line.
