There are 13 Education Service Centers (ESC) staffed with a Regional School Health Specialist who provides and promotes wellness information, materials and other resources to teachers, administrators, other school personnel, parents and community members within the school community through in-service training, workshops, and other technical assistance. The Specialists, together with support from the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), School Health Program of the Diabetes Prevention Branch, make up the Texas School Health Network.
The School Health Program provides resources and direction to the Specialists as well as professional trainings, timely school health updates and statewide collaboration opportunities. The dedication of the Regional School Health Specialists combined with the guidance from DSHS, has created a productive, effective and mission-focused Network.
Below you will find the name of the Specialist that serves your area direct links to their email account and their Region’s service center Web site.
