Tier II Chemical Reporting Program
The Compliance and Enforcement (C & E) Program of the Regulatory Services Division monitors and ensures compliance with the requirements of the state’s chemical right-to-know laws. This is accomplished through random compliance inspections conducted at regulated workplaces by C & E inspection staff assigned to eight Public Health Regional offices throughout the state, as well as in the Program’s central office in Austin. In addition, the Program is required by law to conduct compliance inspections in response to chemical right-to-know complaints received by the Program.
The primary goal of the C & E Program is to increase employer awareness of and compliance with the specific requirements of these laws. To assist employers in achieving this goal, the C & E Program has developed compliance and enforcement guidance documents, available on our Publications page.
