Now that you have  completed the following requirements - you may complete the application. 

Upon completion of the application you will have an opportunity to print your Birth Registrar Certification certificate.

 

Each Birth Registrar will need to keep a file of the following certificates available for inspection: 

  • Current copy of Birth Registrar Certification (BRC) certificate (available upon completion of the BRC application)
  • Current copy of AOP certification certificate (available upon completion of the AOP course)
  • Current copy of TER-Birth online training certificate (available upon completion of the TER – Birth online training course)
  • Current copy of Oath of Confidentiality / Non-disclosure statement (available on this website)
  • If a Midwife / Advanced Practice Nurse – current copy of license (available from respective licensing boards)

 *** Files may be kept in electronic or physical format ***

 

When the Texas Vital Statistics Unit – Field Services Representative conducts a visit to your facility they will ask to see the files of all Birth Registrars.

 

Each Birth Registrar will need to be Re-certified every two years based on the date of your initial certification.
