Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Schedules clients for WIC program appointments
  2. Explains program qualifications, policies/procedures, and participants responsibilities.
  3. Maintains confidentiality during interviews with clients and completion of WIC forms.
  4. Accurately weighs, measures, and performs hemoglobin analysis, and records values on required forms.
  5. Helps monitor and maintain clinic’s supplies and appearance continuously by keeping supplies fully stocked, disinfecting clinic area and calibrating equipment as needed.
  6. Properly issues WIC food vouchers, maintaining accountability of all required forms.
  7. Enters WIC participant data into computer accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Transmits data to the WIC State Agency.
  9. Prepares Assessment packages
  10. Educates and promotes nutrition education and breastfeeding through individual counseling and classes
  11. Maintains and updates WIC files including active and inactive files.
  12. Completes state mandated modules in a timely manner.
  13. Attends required organizational training.
  14. Serves as outreach spokesperson for Los Barrios Unidos Community Clinic WIC Program.
