Will provide the student with information about breast structure, the influence of hormones on the breast, and how both relate to breastfeeding. Benefits of Soy and WIC Soy Food Packages 

The new food packages will offer a couple of soy foods, soy milk and tofu. Recent studies show soy foods play a role in reducing the risk of cancer, heart disease, and osteoporosis and in controlling diabetes. This session will highlight the new WIC soy foods and the many benefits of soy.

Bridging the Gap: Marketing Breastfeeding and the Texas Ten Step Program to Health Care Professionals

I Have Too Much Milk!
With so many mothers saying that they do not have enough milk it is almost a relief when you hear that someone has too much. However, too much milk is a real problem for the mother and the baby. If we do not help mother could get plugged ducts, mastitis or may quit breastfeeding because she is uncomfortable. The infant may be gassy, fussy and not gaining enough weight.
