To verify if a UPC is already authorized by the Texas WIC Program, visit the Approved Food List webpage.
The Texas WIC Program offers vendors the opportunity to add products to the Authorized Product List (APL) year round, with the exception of Cereal, Canned Beans, Oatmeal, Tofu, and Soy Milk, which may only be submitted for consideration during the Open Enrollment period in April.

If requesting by e-mail, on the subject line, please enter "Request to add UPC, brand name (if available) and food item (e.g. strawberries)." A picture of the actual label needs to be attached or embedded in the e-mail. The picture must be clear, needs to show the UPC bar code, nutrition facts, and ingredients. Include the unit price for the item in the body of the e-mail.
