These conditions are reportable in Texas, but have not occurred in recent years and most Texans are not considered at risk for these diseases. Even though they are unlikely to occur, anyone suspected of having one of these diseases should be reported to the health department IMMEDIATELY (congenital rubella syndrome can be reported within one working day).
