The Texas Department of State Health Services hosted an HAI Prevention Conference October 26-27 in Austin. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the latest information regarding HAI prevention in Texas such as patient safety, financial, legal and reporting issues. Collaboration opportunities and demonstrations for intra/inter facilities were also addressed. Invited attendees included CEOs/CFOs for urban and rural hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, infection practitioners, public health officials and others. Conference materials were made available and posted after October 28, 2010. The presentations are available in Power Point or PDF format.
