Tour - Cleanliness

Animal Topics  Virtual Tour: Cleanliness
(Animals, Animal Control, Animal Shelters, Animals in Disaster, Animals in Public Places,
Animal Friendly Program,  Animal Ownership, Animal Bites)

Building quality-constructed animal care facilities is
surprisingly expensive. Durable, impervious materials
are needed to prevent the buildup of odors from feces
and urine. Dogs who want out of a kennel have been
known to chew through a chain-link fence!

All surfaces that are in contact with the animals
should be made of materials that can be disinfected
and sanitized so that diseases aren't transmitted from
one animal to another.
