Until face-to-face meeting restrictions are lifted in Texas, virtual and web-based training options will be listed here.
Registering for TRAIN Texas
Login at:
tx.train.org
Non HHSC employees: instructions for accessing TRAIN are on the login screen. Use your agency account and not a personal email account as your user id. When you create your account, select “Texas User Group” under the GROUPS tab.
HHSC enterprise employees: the system automatically creates an account for you when you are hired. Your email address is your user id.
You must login before searching for the course. If you search for the course and try to register without logging in, you will get an error message.
Who Should Attend
DSHS HIV/STD training staff makes training available to contractors funded by DSHS to enable them to perform HIV/STD prevention services, including individual, group and community level interventions. Training is provided by DSHS contracted trainers as well as trainers from other professional health education agencies.
DSHS reserves the right to limit participation in any DSHS funded training course to DSHS-funded contractors. If there are vacancies in a course, others may be allowed to attend. If you work for an agency that is not directly funded by DSHS, we may not be able to meet your request for a specific training; you may have to wait for a vacancy at a later date and/or another location. You will be notified in advance if this occurs.
For questions about the training calendar, please
email Mary McIntosh or call her at (737) 255-4443.
