  • Specimen should be maintained between 2-8 °C. 
  • Do not freeze.
  • No preservatives or transport media
  • Ship in dry container
  • Must be tested within 48 hours of collection

  • Identifiers on specimen must exactly match submission form.

  • Insufficient specimen
  • Specimen not kept/received cold
  • Bloody stool
  • Dried stool
  • Stored in transport media or preservatives
  • Improperly stored and/or
  • Failure to meet submission/shipping guidelines
Additional Information PCR test may be paired with bacteriological culture.
