Kerrville State Hospital (KSH) is committed to the protection of a patient's right for visitation, at reasonable times, as well as allowing for as much privacy as possible.
Visitors must stop at the front gate to receive instructions from Security Personnel. Visitors will be directed to the Visitor's Center. All visitors will be informed of the policies and procedures for visitation.
Visitors must abide by all appropriate KSH policies, including the ban on the use of tobacco and tobacco products.
Regular visiting hours for family and friends to visit patients at KSH are:
Monday through Friday - 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Saturday, Sunday and state observed holidays - 10:00 - 11:30 am, 1:00 - 4:30 pm, 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Due to patient programming, educational interventions, psychotherapy groups, and other treatment activities, visitation will not be scheduled during the day Monday through Friday except by prior approved arrangement.
Family members are welcome to use the overnight facility located on the KSH campus. Reservations must be made prior to arrival through the unit social worker. There is no charge to visitors using the lodge.
