Opticians' Registry Renew Your Registration - Requirements

Each registered optician must submit a renewal form and appropriate fee postmarked on or before his/her expiration date in order to renew a registration.  Each registered optician must complete ten (10) contact hours of continuing education credit in each area for which the registrant is renewing.  If applying for dual registration renewal the registered optician must have a total of 20 contact hours of continuing education for a registration issued for a two-year term. Half of the contact hours must be offered or approved by the American Board of Opticianry and half of the contact hours must be offered or approved by the National Contact Lens Examiners.

1 Year Dual Registered Optician: $124
2 Year Dual Registered Optician: $208

Late (more than 90 days) Renewal Fees:

1 year Single Registered Optician: $103
2 year Single Registered Optician: $156

1 Year Dual Registered Optician: $164 (includes $80 renewal, $80 late, $1 OPP and $3 Texas Online)
2 Year Dual Registered Optician: $248
