Industrial Radiographer Certification - Radiation Control Program

The DSHS Radiation Control Program certifies individuals to practice industrial radiography within the State of Texas. Certified individuals must meet the necessary requirements of classroom and on-the-job training, as well as completion the required examinations.

On March 19, 2020, Governor Greg Abbott announced a series of Executive Orders relating to COVID-19 preparedness and mitigation. The orders “limit public gatherings and help reduce exposure for people across the state.”

Due to these Executive Orders and the responsibility of the DSHS Consumer Protection Division to ensure public health, the Industrial Radiographer certification examinations have been cancelled through April 30, 2020.

You are encouraged to periodically check this website for updates and information related to the certification testing schedules, and any certifications that may expire during this timeframe.
