Vision and Hearing Services - Public Health Region 7
Texas law requires that all children enrolled for the first time in any public, private, parochial, or denominational school or in a Licensed Child Care Facility (ages 4+) must be screened or have a professional examination for possible vision and hearing problems.
Region 7 staff provide vision and hearing certification training for in-school screeners and serve as a point of contact for individuals and groups requesting information about specific screening requirements.
