Expected Cancer Cases and Deaths

Expected Cancer Cases Cases and Deaths

Projected numbers of new cancer cases and deaths for all primary cancer sites are available statewide, for each Public Health Region, and for counties with a population of at least 100,000. Projected numbers of cancer cases and deaths are estimated by applying Texas age- and sex-specific incidence and mortality rates to the corresponding Texas population projections. Texas population projections for calculating the estimates are provided by the Center for Health Statistics, Texas Department of State Health Services. Please note that the sum of male and female expected numbers may not always equal the total numbers due to rounding.
