Training Events and Webinars

The TCR training team holds various Training Events throughout the year, including basic training conducted by TCR staff and annual statewide training presented by guest speakers. To request basic or specialized training by TCR staff, please complete our Training Request Form

The 2022 SEER Advanced Topics for Registry Professionals Workshop will be held virtually on September 20-22, 2022 from 11:00 to 4:00pm Central time. The workshop will expand registrars’ knowledge of several important topics: in-depth lung cancer, NET, and brain cases; data quality assessment; synoptic operative reports; and more. There will be presentations from subject matter experts including surgeons, pathologists, and oncologists.

This workshop will be free and open to all cancer registrars, but registration is required. Registration for the workshop will begin on July 5, 2022 and close on September 16, 2022. The registration link and agenda will be available through NCRA's website.

TCR sponsored the 2022 Statewide Training Series presented by Denise Harrison, LLC on April 19-May 24, 2022.  Recordings and presentation handouts can be accessed in FLccSC. Three Category A CEs are applicable for each webinar-a total of 18CEs for the completed webinar series. The CEs are good until August 31, 2022.

The TCR sponsors live broadcast webinars from the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR) and the National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA).

The TCR also sponsors the NAACCR CTR Exam Preparation and Review Webinar Series for Texas cancer reporters who plan to sit for the CTR certification exam.
