Who Should Attend

DSHS HIV/STD training staff makes training available to contractors funded by DSHS to enable them to perform HIV/STD prevention services, including individual, group and community level interventions. Training is provided by DSHS contracted trainers as well as trainers from other professional health education agencies.

DSHS reserves the right to limit participation in any DSHS funded training course to DSHS-funded contractors. If there are vacancies in a course, others may be allowed to attend. If you work for an agency that is not directly funded by DSHS, we may not be able to meet your request for a specific training; you may have to wait for a vacancy at a later date and/or another location. You will be notified in advance if this occurs.

For questions about registration through Tx TRAIN, please  Cindi Blair or call her at (512) 206-5614.

For questions about the training calendar, please  Mary McIntosh or call her at (512) 533-3017.
