Purpose:
The purpose of the Toxic Substance Control Division is to protect the physical and environmental health of the citizens of Texas. We strive to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all public employees, prevent the unnecessary exposures of asbestos, lead and other environmental hazards to the public.
