2024 Texas Workplace Violence Against Nurses Survey of Individual Nurses

The 2024 Texas Workplace Violence Against Nurses Survey of Individual Nurses is NOW LIVE! The primary purpose of this survey is to assess the types and frequencies of verbal and physical violence nurses have experienced in the preceding year and throughout their careers.

The results of this survey will inform policy recommendations by the Texas Center for Nursing Workforce Studies Advisory Committee. The information you provide will potentially shape legislation aimed at preventing workplace violence against nurses in Texas.

A random sample of approximately 7,000 nurses will receive three separate mailings. Since we are not tracking individual responses, all of the nurses selected for the sample will receive all three mailings.

The first mailing went out February 16th and is a post-card with a QR code that you can scan to complete the survey online. The second mailing includes the survey and a self-addressed, postage-paid return envelope to complete the survey on paper and return it by mail. This will be mailed at the beginning of March. The third mailing will be a post-card with a QR code that can be scanned to completed the survey online.

If you are selected to participate in this study, please take 15 minutes to tell us about your experience with violence in the workplace.

Please be aware that your survey responses will be strictly confidential.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary but highly encouraged.
